File this one under “ways to get better at snowboarding without actually having to snowboard,” right next to that Shaun White pinball game.

TechRider dates back to the 1990s, a time when snowboarding didn’t exist and wooly mammoths ruled the earth. Two doods began fashioning figurines out of cardboard and duct tape. Their goal was to find a way for snowboarders to visualize tricks, and to kill time until the cable guy showed. The artifacts have evolved and now come in pro flavors featuring Terje Haakonson, Nicolas Muller, JP Solberg, Tadashi Fuse, Romain De Marchi, Mads Jonsson and some skiers. Everyone is going cuckoo for TechRider dolls, even professional snowboarders are asking for them (so that they may play with themself).

Play with your favorite pro on REAL fake snow!
