Tailgate Alaska: Boot ‘em Up

11 April 2009 15 Comments

Tailgate Alaska is priceless.

“You will make the biggest mistake of your life if you don’t make it.”

Home of Alaska Airlines.

Last turn onto the Glen Allen.

Cruising around the corner to Thompson Pass.

Four hours of flying and six hours of driving later, greetz from the Tailgate Alaska Basecamp.

Within five minutes of getting out of the car, I was bootin’ up and on the pony up to a run known as Skatepark with Mark, Kingwell and Arob.

The tent at basecamp is as legit as it gets.

Day 2 began with a few sled missions with the big one being the Berlin Wall for Mark, Kingwell and Arob.

Kingwell on top of the Berlin Wall scoping the opposite face.

Arob and Andrew Miller talking about a possible Easter Bunny mission.

A little cresting moon with “tent captain scab” in the foreground.

Salud from Alaska, where the beer flows like water, my underwear smells like cottage cheese and you are guaranteed to epic out.
