Hot off the agoodreed wire…

The Comune, from left:  Corey Smith, Chris Thomas, Howie Marchbanks, Mike Quinones and President Frank Delgadillo.
Novelist F. Scott Fitzgerald famously wrote “There are no second acts in American lives,” but Frank Delgadillo plans to prove there are second acts in the worlds of skate and active apparel.
Delgadillo started new men’s brand Comune after resigning on Aug. 1 as president of well-known skate label Ambiguous, the label he started in his college dorm room in 1996. As president of the line, he eventually placed it in prominent …

The only thing better than snowboarding is going to snowboard premieres and looking at professional snowboarders. It is difficult to describe the sensation of watching a video of someone else having fun in the snow, and knowing that the fun-having rider is a mere 10 meters away at the bar. 686 founder and creative director Michael Akira West has been getting wild lately. Collabs and limited edition runs for dayz. West’s most recent project, “In My Eyes,” has us particularly excited. For Installation 1, West enlisted the help of artist Nathan Sayawa to recreate 686’s Smarty Complete 2.5 Ply jacket with Legos.

Also in the Installation, 686 created their Smarty Admiral womens jacket out of International Code Flags—the flags that are used to signal between ships.

Today is the first day of spring, and that got us thinking about Easter. Easter is sick because you get eggs, and eggs remind us of our favorite movie. In our favorite movie, dinosaurs come from eggs, and then they hatch, and then they get big and eat people. So cool!

I give up. I cannot figure out the trends in snowboard fashion. I just bought some damn Holden pants, and I had some little kid come make fun of me at the mountain. Indeed his pants were wayyyyy tighter than mine, but its the best I can do given my massive leg muscles. So I just heckled him from the side of the run while he did all manner of spinner-scooter-tapper-slapper maneuvers.
Back to the issue at hand. I thought the denim thing in snowboard pants …
