We have been trying to come up with some ideas for a special Labor Day Edition of agr. But the ol’ idea well seems to have run dry. This may be due to having been unemployed for so long (Mom, Dad…we love you). So instead of griping about our own labors, we would like to feature a laborer who works hard and kicks-ass even harder.
Tyler Lepore.

Many know Tyler through his lengthy professional snowboard career. Tyler was most recently featured Capita’s “First Kiss,” Sandbox’s “Flavor Country,” and “IR77.” Remember? He’s the …

Press Release:

Chris Dufficy Joins The Signal Family

That’s right, Duff’s on Signal.

Though we’re only into the first seven months of 2008, holy crap, things are good. We’ve just finished our first demo tour of Japan, Jake’s learned to shave, The Lodge is cranking out new board designs; including the Park Rocker, AND NOW CHRIS DUFFICY JOINS THE TEAM!

With his smooth style and positive attitude, this Vancouver BC resident is as loved for his smile as he is for his big mountain riding and progressive rail skills. Throughout his coaching career at …

Today is Canada Day, the day that Canada was discovered by a family of beavers. And we sure are glad that they did. Canada is “man country”. Everything is bigger, wilder, drunker, and probably has sharp teeth. Man, if they could bottle and sell “Canadian”, we would be set.
But until they do, we will have to settle for help from the Snowboard Academy on how to become an “unstoppable” freestyle Canadian machine.
-Snowboard Academy is the service of Matt Belair: self-proclaimed top Canadian freestyle snowboard coach and …

Some of us are wil-n-out in Whistler, and some of us are not. Some of us are taking care of business. Good thing we have freak snow falling in the city to remind us that we are not snowboarding, drinking real beer and throwing bros hi-fives.
Another thing some of us are missing out on is the crowning of the If Ullr Was A Girl champion, which happened this weekend at the Telus Festival in Whistler, B.C.
We will spare you the details of the comp, but the skinny of …

Backcountry Snowcats invites you to think up a name for one of their new lines and if selected you will receive a weekend of ripping your newly christened line.  The “Name That Line” contest will  end at 12:00pm (PST) March 10, 2008.
agoodreed wasn’t going to tell you about this one, we were hoping to horde the loot ourselves.  But the only names we could come up with and were of questionable taste and all included the word “poop“.

Matty V called it…
15-year-old Canadian Sebastian Toutant has officially begun his rampage of the world snowboard competition circuit. This is what “Toots” has been up to as of late:
1) “dominated” the O’Neill Evolution Quarterpipe, with 7.4 meter airs (video)
2) 1st at the Burton European Open Junior Slopestyle;
3) ranked 1st for the Men’s Slopestyle at the BEO;
4) signed lucrative energy drink sponsorships.
…actually, I don’t think he has any energy drink sponsors yet. In fact, Seb is currently sponsored only by: O’Neill, Smith, and Universe Boardshop.
HINT, HINT, goddamn HINT.
More …

In the course of being immensely productive today, I came across a couple of you-tubers featuring a certain “Kael Hill“. (The reason for not embedding the videos is that youtube quality is inadequate to merit space on agoodreed. That, or I can’t figure out how to embed them. Nevertheless, watch these videos, they are sweet as maple syrup.)

I like Kael Hill. First off he is Canadian and I like Canada. Second, he looks wackier than Lucas Magoon. Thricely, dood can do some fancy-dancin …

Endeavor snowboards is making lil movies of their team riders doing stuff, like chasing storms. Episode 1 and 2 are online now.

Endeavor has a good thing going…they have been around a couple of years, and Canada’s finest running the show: Max Jenke, Scott Serfas, Randy Ross, Chris Martin, and Rob Dow. They have a rock solid team, and their boards look snappy. The real reason that I am kissing Endeavors ass is because they have a good site. It is how a snowboard site should be: …
