Requisite Craiglist Post

28 May 2009 5 Comments

Earlier this week, AGoodReed’s amigo Iain gave us the hot tip that a snowboard company is for sale on Craigslist. We were apprehensive to write anything on the matter for several reasons–namely because wayyyyyyy too much has already been said–but the masses demand AGoodReed’s take on the matter.

  • They use “action sports” and “burgeoning” in their listing. Not a good sign.
  • They used this image. Not good.

  • They are based in “SoCal.” Enough said.
  • Is snowboarding going to exist in three years?

Nonetheless, we still would have bought the company and turned it into a sweet scooter company. But, we recently blew all of our funds at the Michael Jackson’s Neverland Ranch auction. Check out our new acquisitions.

I’ve been watching all the Planet of the Apes series lately. Even the behind the scenes of the Apes. I’d give my left nut for that MJ / monkey gold piece.

I’m more concerned about the word “unload” in the sentence, “We would like to unload a burgeoning snowboard and action sports label…”

Parents “unload” their whiny, over pampered kids at ski school… crazy folks “unload” the burden of their troubles on their psychiatrist. I’ve just always seen the word “unload” used more to describe things that are unwanted and/or way too much work.

Snowboarding: not 3 years, say, about 10-15, at least in Australia.

    That’s not a joke.

We will have a lot to answer for to our kids.
“Why didn’t you save the snow dad, why?”

PS: thanks for the shout out on the climate change must-read.
