We spotted this next trend recently, but have been apprehensive to breaking the news…we have a bad gut feeling about this one, it just don’t sit right…
PERSONAL GROOMING (even for doods)
-Mission Product is a new brand of skincare company that is designed for and by athletes. They say that athletes (we are including ourselves in this one because we like pinball), have to take care of their skin. Hmmm… We don’t know about that, but they have gotten the support of some notable athletes and formed themselves a team that includes snowboarder Gretchen Bleiler and skater boi Ryan Sheckler who uses Mission to “combat the chap.” Furthermore…

-Estate LA - makers of fitted hats that are popular among snowboarders, skateboarders, streetsters, and cool cats - has collaborated with MEN’s GROOMING (ed. note: not misspelled) company Baxter on a hat (via snowboard-mag.com). Baxter makes specially designed skin care products for men, that are “sought after by everyone from the guys next door to leading men from Hollywood.” The product line - which includes a clarifying face mask, an under eye complex, and scented candles -
is “for the ultimate playboy.”
What say you ‘goodreeders? We don’t buy it. This is mainly because we lead a more “ecological” lifestyle. This includes reducing, reusing, and recycling: we only bathe when asked to do so by pretty girls; remembering that Davy Crockett probably didn’t wash his close (and neither should we), and others’ discarded deodorant sticks can be recycled and given to friends as lovely house warming gifts.
So instead of going to the store and wasting our money, we are going to youtube, which is never a waste.
