Marketing 101: eXtreme=$
The latest in “Attempts To Taint All That Was Good About AGoodReed’s Childhood” comes from the crafty marketing team of the new “G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra“ movie. The advert has an alleged Joe skateboarding on some ramp at a military training facility, wearing some kind of super suit. (via neoteo)
Marketing professionals have it so easy these days. How do you sell to kids? Take yr product and make it eXtreme. Backflips are good, not listening to parents is good, video games are good, and if you are really trying to hit the kiddies hard, get some kind of Slurpee promotion going on.
And on another note: Hollywood, how dare you manipulate G.I. Joe. G.I. Joe is not some robot-ninja, nor could he be played by Bob Burnquist. This is more like it.
