To begin, let us go on the record: we know that we lost cool points for attending this event. “Action” and “sports” really should never be allowed in the same sentence.  But we have our reasons for reporting on the LG Action Sports World Championships.  First off, we were granted media passes.  This is a first for AGoodReed.  Normally, we turn down these privileges in favor of maintaining a perspective that is of the “people.”But the incentives of registering as media won us over, which leads us …

We recently attended the Big Bang hosted by Betasnow.cl in Pucon, Chile.  The contest lasted 3 days and each day a new feature is built by those in the contest and then ridden and judged by the riders.
Goodreeeeedin.
After a week of shreddin, I just wanted to give a big THANKS! to a couple homies….

Pollo. Thanks for the warm bed, endless bottles of Pisco and a hell of a week in Pucon. Congrats on finishing 3rd in the rally!

Poroto. Also known as the snowboarding machine. We’re not …

While in the Northern Hemisphere everyone is dousing their livers with heavy amounts of alcohol, getting kicked out of MDP premieres and chasing girlies that like snowboard boys, we are still hopping around on our snowboards trying to avoid coming home and getting a real job.The season finally feels like it’s winding down, temperatures are rising and the last snow fall seems to have been ages ago. The AGR office has now moved from Farrellones to Santiago where we will try to detox, wash our clothes for the …

For those who haven’t seen the radar of South America in the last 2 weeks you may have missed the 4 feet of snow that came through the Southern Hemisphere.  We have a rule here at the AGR office; when it snows, we don’t work.
The DC Snow Team frequents Chile and happened to be here for the last 2 weeks. AGR hung low as Devun and the fellas did their thing. It wasn’t tell we hit the bar when things got a little out of hand.  You …

We should have known…
The reason we were having such a difficult time tracking down agr Field Correspondent “Dr. Gillis” is because he was undercover!
We found Doc in the most unlikely of locales. But that’s what it takes to bring you fair and accurate news that agr is known for.
Though he isn’t snowboarding in South America, this is just as good. The Doc, aka “Cee“, is one of the cast of MTV’s reality TV series, “From G’s to Gents.”

Good work amigo. Your theme song is solid.

Hello World. Benivenidos a la internet.
Hell. We flew in, and for the first 13 days of the trip we have spent a total of 10 minutes on the internet. The saying goes
while traveling, the less time spent on the internet, the more fun you be havin’. But it feels damn good to have fingers glued to a keyboard again.

After 24 hours of landing we hooked up with the “Big Show”. He’s somewhat of a big deal down here as you can see above.  Straight …

Aha!  Another clue as to the whereabouts of our correspondents abroad.  This clue comes to us from an article in Newsweek…
The article investigates the growing “pokemones” group of Chile. The group is made up of technology savvy, fashionable, materialistic Chilean teens with a penchant for tight pants, Japanese anime shirts, piercings, and the Internet. Kids will be kids right? Indeed they will, and these kids, or “pokemones”, like to be kids by having in orgies in public parks.

“The teens call their public orgies …

We have been getting pretty antsy up here at agr HQ.  You may recall that we dispatched field reporters to cover the haps that happen in the Andean winter. Well, we haven’t heard from our esteemed correspondents right smart spell*, and have been fearing the worst. We’ve had some leads, but the trails have all gone cold:

We will keep you posted with all new sightings…
