Heavy weekend around here at agr. Real heavy. Sometimes you just got to set your heels, down your drink*, and giv’er hell. And that’s what we did.
-First up was International Surfing Day. The holiday was created by Surfing Magazine and the Surfrider Foundation with the goal of getting people out surfing and cleaning up the beach. Great stuff, agr indeed.
We just have one issue: some people just ain’t supposed to be on the beach, much less on a surfboard.
(Ed. note: By people we mean certain members of agr. Sorry to the family that may have been “exposed” to our less than tan flesh when we tripped getting out of our wetsuit. Apologies also go out to the fishes and people who rent the wetsuit we used. We don’t normally pee our pants, but that water was damn cold.) That said, we were out in the line-up at Westport, grinning and throwing ‘fivers.

-Mix in a couple of birthdays, a hippie parade, and you got yourself a full-plate of a weekend. How was yours?
I’ve never heard a sentence quite like that before. I will say that it is nice to see people overcoming their obvious mental handicaps to get out and enjoy life.
